In season 2, episode 15 of MUD BETWEEN YOUR TOES, CONVERSATIONS WITH ZANELE NDLOVU. In the wedding photos they look like any other young couple, happy and in love as they take their first steps into a long and blissful marriage. The bride is laughing. Her body wrapped in a spray of pure white lace.
Then your eye is drawn to the her missing right arm, and the bandages protecting what is left. This is the story how Zanele Ndlovu lost her arm to a croc attack whilst canoeing with her fiancé Jamie Fox on the upper Zambezi at Victoria Falls, just five days before this happy photo was shot.
Zanele chats to me about her horrific encounter.
